About songdrafts

A board for your voice memos.

songdrafts is a songwriting app for musicians with hundreds of voice memos called "New Recording" and a lot of unfinished songs. It turns that pile into songs you can actually find, finish and share.

You keep recording in Voice Memos or any recorder. songdrafts is what happens next: bring the recordings in, and every idea becomes a song card on a board.

Questions

Does songdrafts record audio?
No. Keep recording in Voice Memos or any recorder; songdrafts is where you sort, stack and finish the recordings.
How do I get my iPhone voice memos in?
In Voice Memos, select the recordings, tap Share, then Save to Files. Then open songdrafts and import them. On a Mac, drag a folder of them onto the board.
Can people listen without an account?
Yes. Share links open in the browser, and listeners can comment at a timestamp without signing up.
Is my music private?
Your library is on your device by default, share links can be revoked, and nothing you upload is used to train AI.
How is it different from Trello, Notion or Samply?
Trello and Notion cannot play or stack takes. Samply is built for sending finished mixes. songdrafts covers the messy stretch from voice note to finished demo, and sharing too.
