Voice Memos alternatives for songwriters
Voice Memos is fine for catching an idea, but it keeps every recording in one flat list. An alternative can be a different recorder, or a place to sort the recordings you already have into songs. Most songwriters keep Voice Memos for recording and add a board for sorting. songdrafts is our product, so weigh this page accordingly.

Why songwriters look for an alternative
- The list is flat, newest first, with names like New Recording 212.
- Each take of a song is its own recording, so versions are scattered.
- No lyrics, key or tempo next to the audio.
- No view of which songs are ideas and which are nearly done.
Three kinds of alternative

| A place to share | Sending a track out for comments | Samply is built for sharing tracks |

Every take of a song stacks on one card with the lyrics, key and tempo beside it. Your Voice Memos originals stay where they are.
