How a band can keep demos, rehearsals and versions in one place

Rehearsal recordings in one phone, demos in a group chat, the latest mix in someone's email. Here is how to keep a band's songs in one place.

1. One place, not the group chat

Chats bury audio. Agree one place where every rehearsal and demo goes.

2. One card per song

Every rehearsal take and demo version of a song lives together, oldest first.

3. Stages everyone can see

Writing, rehearsing, ready to record, recorded. Everyone knows where each song is.

4. Notes at a time

"The bridge at 2:10 drags" beats a paragraph in the chat. Pin notes to the second.

5. Name the best take

Mark the take the band agrees on, so nobody learns the wrong version.
