The songwriting board

The board is a set of columns, one for each stage a song goes through. Each song is a card. New imports land in an Inbox, and you move each song along as it gets better, so you can see at a glance what is ready and what is not.

Stages you choose

The default board starts with just an Inbox. Add stages as you go, or start from a template: Songwriter (Ideas, Drafts, Finals), Album (Writing, Demos, Mixing, Masters), Band (Ideas, Full band jams, Half written, In DAW, Finished demos, Released), Co-write or Release.

Move songs as they improve

Move a song to the next stage when it gets better. The aim is to see what is close to finished instead of listening through a flat list.

Filter by key and tempo

Once your songs have keys, the board can filter by key and by a tempo range. See key, tempo and tags.

One card per song

Every take of a song stacks on one card. See every take on one card.

Common questions

What stages does the board have?

It starts with an Inbox. You add your own stages or start from a template.

Can a band share a board?

You can invite a bandmate to a board, as a viewer or an editor.

Can I see which songs are nearly done?

Yes. Songs sit in the stage you put them in, so the board shows it.
