From an iPhone

  1. Install the Dropbox app and sign in.
  2. In Voice Memos tap the recording, tap the three dots, then Share.
  3. Choose Dropbox from the share sheet (scroll the row of apps if you do not see it).
  4. Pick a folder and save. Exact labels can differ by app version.

Several at once

In the Voice Memos list tap Edit, tick the recordings, tap Share, then choose Dropbox. If it does not appear, save to Files first and upload from the Dropbox app.

From a Mac

Drag the memos out of Voice Memos onto your Desktop, then into your Dropbox folder. See where to find voice memos on Mac.

Name them first

Dropbox keeps the file names you give it. Rename memos before you upload. See how to rename voice memos.

When Dropbox is not enough

Dropbox stores your files; it does not know which memos are takes of the same song. In songdrafts every take of a song stacks on one card on a board. See songdrafts vs Dropbox.
